If elected, I will dedicatedly apply this expertise to ensure that our beautiful town continues to prosper.

About Jeff Eisensmith
I discovered Colonial Beach in the 90s doing triathlons. When looking for a place to land for our retirement, Pam and decided that Colonial Beach was for us. I'm holding the team trophy from my first race.

We bought our house and created a grand child trap. It's been working...everyone comes here to cerebrate summer and the holidays.

I'm always amazed by the beauty that can be found at the beach!

Colonial Beach Greenspace
In my role as president of Colonial Beach Greenspace, I lead a nonprofit organization that is committed to protecting our local natural environments and ensuring that those resources are accessible to all. During my tenure, CB Greenspace has:
-
Upgraded the Public Garden on Washington Avenue, adding: irrigation systems, wheelchair beds, composting bins, renewed the individual bed soil, and created a visitor's garden where all are welcome to enjoy a vibrant garden experience.
-
Created a rain garden at the Community Center in Colonial Beach to divert rainwater from the entrance area roofs through French drains to a rain garden on Marshal Ave (between Nelson and Wert). CB Greenspace built that garden to show "CB"ers an example garden. If the residents embraced the rain garden idea, routine rainwater inundation could be significantly reduced - and it beautifies the town.
-
CB Greenspace is talking to the town lawyer about being Stewards of the River Walk: as we already are for the Public Garden. That would allow CB Greenspace to plan, beautify, and maintain the River Walk.
Clear Communication. Smart Spending. Strong Foundations.
If elected to Colonial Beach Town Council, this is what you can expect from Jeff:
Transparency First - Government works best when you're kept in the loop
-
Streamline town meetings, updates, and agendas so they are easy to find and understand.
-
Ensure municipal decisions are clearly documented and explained to the public.
Fiscal Responsibility - Protecting your hard-earned dollars
-
Conduct thorough reviews of municipal expenditures to eliminate waste and prioritize true community needs.
-
Avoid short-sighted spending that leaves our town in debt down the road.
Infrastructure Maintenance - Taking care of what we have
-
Transition from reactive repairs to a structured, preventative maintenance schedule for roads, sidewalks, and stormwater systems.
-
Ensure our water, sewer, and emergency services are modern, reliable, and equipped to handle the town's needs.
